Apply: Remember the Gospel

This morning Kirk Alexander preached the second sermon of our Remember Series entitled:  Remember the Gospel.  You can listen to this message or download it here.  Kirk reminded us that the gospel is God’s power to save and God’s power to transform.  We hope these questions will serve you as you seek to apply God’s word to your life.

1.  What is the difference between what the gospel is and what the gospel does?

2.  Can you define the gospel?  Try to write down a succinct definition of the gospel on a piece of paper.

3.  Why must the gospel be proclaimed and not just lived out in front of others?  Who do you believe God wants you to share the gospel with this week?

4.  Do you remember how the gospel was the power of God for your salvation?  How were you saved?  What were you like before you were saved?

5.  What is one area of your life that you have seen transformed since you were saved?  What is one area of your life that you believe the Lord wants to give you faith that He can transform through the power of the gospel?

6.  How does 2 Cor. 4:3-6 describe how we are transformed?  How can Christ be more glorious in your eyes?  In what specific ways will you approach your times with God so that you can behold His glory in the face of  His Son Jesus Christ?
